South Lake Chamber of Commerce
At the heart of South Lake County’s growth and success lies an organization dedicated to the well-being of businesses and individuals alike—the South Lake Chamber of Commerce. Established over a century ago, the chamber has evolved and expanded, becoming a vital contributor to the region’s thriving communities.
A Legacy of Service
The South Lake Chamber’s roots trace back to the early days of Clermont when it operated as the Board of Trade. This group of local citizens took on the responsibility of improving the city, from road repairs to acquiring essential equipment like fire trucks. In February 1922, the organization officially adopted the name Clermont Chamber of Commerce and appointed Dr. Arthur L. Izlar as its president.
A Unified Voice for Business
In 1996, the chamber underwent a transformation as several Lake County chambers of commerce merged to form the South Lake Chamber of Commerce. Today, it proudly represents the cities of Clermont, Groveland, Mascotte, Minneola, Montverde, and the Four Corners area—a collective voice of the business community.
Our mission is clear: to create and maintain an environment where business and community will prosper. To achieve that, the core values that guide us are membership, relationships, integrity, respect, and results.
